Virta (Current)

The pale wool is like a quiet surface on which warm tones move – cream, sand, and soft grey. Brown motifs flow across it like a current that does not stop but continues along its own path.

The felt has been made by hand, in warm water and the calm movement of Marseille soap. The wool has been allowed to take shape at its own pace, layer by layer, until it became dense and breathing.

The tall shape of the hat rises upward and curves softly forward. The motifs running across the surface bring it a living sense of movement – as if something were constantly moving forward, quietly but surely.

Every hat is unique. The variations in shade and the flow of the motifs are never repeated, but always born anew.

Virta accompanies you in the warmth of the sauna, the clarity of the ice hole, and the calm of the hot tub. It suits winter days and forest excursions, where everything is allowed to move at its own pace.

Material: 100% organic raw Finnish Landrace wool

Colour: Natural white base shade with soft beige and grey tones and brown flowing motifs

Production: Hand-felted with Marseille soap in Salo, Southwest Finland

Feature: The wool naturally contains some lanolin, which helps repel moisture and keeps the felt soft.

Care: Air out after use. Light hand-cleaning if needed. Do not machine wash.

Lifecycle: Fully natural and biodegradable material – when the time comes, the hat can be composted.
