About
WilliWilla
WilliWilla is a small craft studio from Salo, Finland. I make felt hats by hand — without patterns, without rush.
Every hat is made from raw Finnish Landrace wool that has not been carded or dyed. The wool keeps its natural shades, its marks, and a little of its lanolin — which makes the felt soft and naturally water-resistant. Sometimes a small dried flower or a wisp of hay remains in the wool. They are part of the story.
Felting happens by hand, listening to the material. The work doesn't follow a pattern but the wool's own terms — it tells you where it bends and when it's ready. That's why every hat is different. The shape, texture, and tone emerge naturally during the process.
WilliWilla hats are made for the sauna, ice swimming, and hot tubs — but also for winter days outdoors, forest walks, and everyday life. Wool breathes, protects, and adapts.
I don't aim for perfection or mass production. What matters more is authenticity, the joy of craft, and nature's own rhythm.
