Deep Forest – Handfelted Sauna Hat

The dark brown wool carries the shades of the forest. It includes subtle grey, like the frost mist on a rough trunk on a frosty morning.

The shade has not been smoothed out.
The wool has been allowed to remain as the sheep grew it – lively, slightly varied, authentic.

The felting was done by hand, with warm water and Marseille soap.
Calm movement has bound the fibers together. Without a pattern, without haste.

The back of the hat extends long, protecting the neck. The front is shaped and more open, framing the face.
The surface is rustic and warm, naturally vibrant.

A small light flower rests on the front. It is like a quiet keepsake – a small sign of light in a dark shade.

This hat is unique.
Its shape and shade will not be replicated. It goes to the sauna and ice hole.

Material: 100% organic raw wool from Finnish sheep

Care: Air out after use. If necessary, light hand cleaning. No machine washing. 
Feature: Wool naturally contains a small amount of lanolin, which helps repel moisture and keeps the felt soft. 
Lifecycle: Completely natural and biodegradable material – eventually the hat can be composted.
