Harmony – Handfelted Sauna Hat

 This hat is born from the meeting of many shades. Black, brown, and grey run side by side, merging and emerging in turn. The surface is vibrant and multifaceted – like a winter forest where each trunk tells its own story. The wool is allowed to be seen as it is, in the natural colours of different sheep.

The felting was done by hand with Marseille soap, warm water, and gentle movement. The work progressed unhurriedly, listening to the wool. The thick structure makes the hat safe and warm. It feels protective yet still breathes.

The turned brim gives the hat structure and brings the shades together. Each colour area is a joint decision of chance and craftsmanship. The final result cannot be fully anticipated – which is why each hat is unique.

Sopu (Harmony) accompanies you on winter days, forest excursions, in the sauna, and when ice swimming. It is a warm companion for cold weather. This hat embodies the colours of many sheep and a quiet respect for them.

Production: Hand-felted with Marseille soap in Salo, Southwest Finland Feature: The wool naturally contains a small amount of lanolin, which helps repel moisture and keeps the felt soft.

Care: Air out after use. Light hand-cleaning if needed. Do not machine wash.

Lifecycle: Fully natural and biodegradable material – when the time comes, the hat can be composted.
