Siipi (Wing)

In this hat, shades of grey and brown blend softly into one another. The surface is vibrant and natural, like a forest beneath moss – calm, yet full of quiet movement.

The wool was felted by hand with Marseille soap, warm water, and gentle movements. The shape has formed gradually, without haste, by listening to the wool. Every layer has settled into place in its own way.

Light wings have been felted onto the surface of the hat. They are not perfect or symmetrical, but light and lively – like a moment just before take-off. They bring with them a sense of movement and direction.

The shape is protective and slightly taller at the back. The soft brim follows the face and makes the hat pleasant to wear. This hat carries with it the thought that you can always keep moving forward.

Siipi is suited for the sauna, the ice hole, and the warmth of a hot tub, as well as the quiet moments of winter days and forest excursions.

Material: 100% organic raw Finnish Landrace wool

Colour: A grey and brown surface with light wing-like motifs

Production: Hand-felted with Marseille soap in Salo, Southwest Finland

Feature: The wool naturally contains some lanolin, which helps repel moisture and keeps the felt soft.

Care: Air out after use. Light hand-cleaning if needed. Do not machine wash.

Lifecycle: Fully natural and biodegradable material – when the time comes, the hat can be composted.
