Hämä (Dusk)

The deep grey-brown wool is reminiscent of the quiet shadows of a forest – those moments when the light does not quite reach all the way. Lighter fibres and darker areas on the surface interweave with one another, like layers of moss and earth.

The felt has been born by hand, in the calm movement of warm water and Marseille soap. The wool has been allowed to take shape at its own pace, pressing and condensing without haste, until it found its final form.

The tall shape and softly undulating brim give the hat a protective and earthy character. The surface is not smooth, but full of life – small fibres, variations in shade, and chance, all of which make the hat unique.

Every hat is born only once. This cannot be repeated, nor does it need to be.

Hämä accompanies you in the sauna, at the ice hole, and in the hot tub, as well as in the quiet of winter days and the peace of forest excursions.

Material: 100% organic raw Finnish Landrace wool

Colour: Dark grey and brown base shade with lighter natural tones

Production: Hand-felted with Marseille soap in Salo, Southwest Finland

Feature: The wool naturally contains some lanolin, which helps repel moisture and keeps the felt soft.

Care: Air out after use. Light hand-cleaning if needed. Do not machine wash.

Lifecycle: Fully natural and biodegradable material – when the time comes, the hat can be composted.
