Vaara (Hill)
The dark brown wool, shifting towards grey, is reminiscent of the rolling ground of a forest and the quiet surface of a fell. The shade lives in the light – at times deep and shadowy, at times soft and warm. Lighter fibres and natural markings run through it, giving the surface its vitality.
The felt has been born by hand, in the calm movement of warm water and Marseille soap. The wool has been allowed to take shape at its own rhythm, without haste. Every step has left its mark on the surface.
The shape of the hat protects the neck and ears. It descends longer at the back, like a forest slope that continues beyond the view. At the front the shape remains lighter and more open.
The curls of the wool, the variations in shade, and the small irregularities speak of something not made from a pattern. Every hat is its own individual.
Vaara accompanies you in the sauna, at the ice hole, and in the hot tub, as well as on winter days and forest excursions. It is a calm, protective, and unassuming companion.
