Peat

Turve (Peat) was born into the embrace of warm brown wool. Its shade is reminiscent of an autumn forest floor, where dark soil and light roots meet. Long strands rise to the surface of their own accord, giving the hat a soft, hairy character.

The hat has been felted by hand with Marseille soap and warm water, using calm movements. The wool has not been dyed or industrially smoothed, so every strand carries its own nature.

In shape, Turve is round and low, like a moss clump softened by rain. Within the shades of brown live fine streaks of gray and light, which bring depth and variation to the surface. Here and there, small light specks flicker like glimpses of light on damp ground.

This Turve is one of a kind. Its shades, hairy surface, and soft shape were born on the wool’s terms, not from a pattern.

It is suitable for the sauna, ice swimming, a hot tub, quiet winter days, and long forest hikes.
