Kolo (Hollow)

The shade of this hat is dark brown, with soft hints of grey and lighter brown running through it. The surface is vibrant and slightly rough, like tree bark in winter. The wool tells its own story and has not been smoothed.

The felting was done by hand with Marseille soap, warm water, and gentle movements. The work has been allowed to progress without haste, by listening to the wool. Every shape forms in its own way, and the final result cannot be fully predicted.

The shape is tall and protective. The hat settles around you like a warm hollow to retreat into. The long, soft crown and lively brim give it its own distinctive character.

Kolo is made to warm. It is suited for the sauna and the ice hole, the warmth of a hot tub, and winter forest excursions. It is a hat that feels safe and quiet.
